From left to right are 55010 (ex 1E43), 55013 (ex 1A45 - on which the photographer had travelled up behind from Doncaster), 55008 (ex 1E39) and 55007 (ex 1E40). This may have been one of the final occasions that such a scene occurred at Kings Cross. A fifth loco 55016 had arrived earlier with 1E35 and being the first to arrive was used on the 'Devonian' replacing 55002 which had become a failure at Finsbury Park Depot. Copyright Bob Peach.
